Cincinnati, OH. The French House. An incredibly amazing Indian wedding.
If you’ve experienced an Indian wedding celebration, you know that words just can not do it justice. The colors, the music, the beautiful people, delicious food and the energy are all indescribable. Thankfully I had my camera and a few lenses to help give you an idea of just how amazing it was. It was all so surreal, as though I was capturing a movie.
Speaking of movies, ever since I watched “Slumdog Millionaire” I’ve been fascinated with the Indian culture. Sure the movie romanticized it, but I was even drawn to the “slum” part of it. I said to Nate after the wedding, “I think I want to become Indian, is that possible?” He chuckled a little and gave me a hug. He must have thought I was joking. In all seriousness, they are some of the sweetest and most beautiful people I have ever met. And talk about an amazing couple, wow…Hema and Neil are incredible individuals that make an extraordinary couple. It was quite obvious how much they are loved by family and friends.
Well, enough blabbering, on with part one (of two) of their incredible day. I also want to send a huge thank you to the amazing Gail Werner for helping us capture their day. It was such a joy to have her along to collaborate with. Not only did she capture some amazing images, but her warm spirit was a treat to have around.
Congratulations Hema and Neil….we wish you much love!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for inviting us to capture your incredible day!

The colors and details were out of this world.

Neil and his family gathered on top of a hill, they danced and lead him down on a white horse to be welcomed by his brides family.

Meanwhile, Gail caught these beautiful shots of Hema watching from a window in the house.

Hema’s dad joyfully approves of his new son in law.

Neil anticipating his bride as she gets very close.

The bride and groom are brought together, yet still separated by a red curtain.

As they are hoisted in the air, the curtain is dropped, and they see each other for the first time amongst a sea of loved ones.

There were so many beautiful, symbolic traditions during the ceremony.

I love how she looks at him here, so sweet.

And just a couple of the adorable children in attendance. I’ve never seen so many beautiful kids in one place.

And a few of the beautiful Hema and Neil after the ceremony. They are glowing with joy.

Stay tuned for the second half of the day, coming soon…….
