Sometimes it just hits me. What an absolute joy it is to capture life. To forever freeze a moment in time, one that is here today and gone tomorrow. One that can never be replaced or reproduced. I started photographing Pierce when he was in the womb, and now he is a singing, walking, giggling 3.5 year old boy. As I sat in their home and watched him bounce on the trampoline and pull out book after book (all in his birthday suit of course), I realized what a special connection I have with him and their family. And I felt so blessed. I’ve watched him grow and develop, and have captured the beautiful bond between a mother and a son. It’s such an honor to continually be trusted to document these moments for them…all the while being thankful for the wonderful friendship that has developed along the way. And so begins a new journey, a new life will soon bloom and there will no doubt be so much more to capture. Thank you AL (and fam) for being so wonderful…love you all dearly. I can’t wait to meet the newest addition.

Props to AL for enduring my crazy, middle of the field, middle of a blizzard shots

A little walk down memory lane….. Pierce about three years ago:
